You're such a pansy

This window can be hung in any direction.  Can you tell I'm dreaming of summer? ($100)

This window is for a friend who is originally from Chicago and is moving to California.  I took a map of Illinois and disassembled it to fit into the state of CA.  Hope she likes it!

Friday Five (even though my mere technicality, it's Saturday)

Technically. When you're home alone with two little boys the days blur together (among other things)

Winter has made a comeback in the form of snow and ice (boo) and it's days like these where I wish I had a fireplace, laptop and wireless internet.

*sigh* Complaining aside, here are some great links for your weekend parusing!

Love Divine

Love Divine (the hymn behind the artwork) 4ft by 11 inches (collage/acrylic) $45

Dabbling in rosettes for some girl hair accessories.....now all I need are some girls.......

 LOVE.

Hallelujah By and By

This piece is 2ft by 2ft on a wooden panel with a map (of part of Illinois if you're curious)
Since I took the name I'll Fly Away for another piece, this one is called Hallelujah By and By ($65)

Looking too good on my wall, I fear that I am getting too attached......

Chloe, my dog, playing dress up with my three year old.

Funky little baby

It's really much cooler than the photo shows.  It's 2ft by 2 ft and has black edges.  The background is vintage magazine pages, white washed, stained and sealed.  ($65) It's lighter than a window and can be mailed!

Luka's Lily Pad

I got the honor of painting this cute little table, stools and sign for a family who had recently lost their little baby, Luka.  She was a still born baby and they wanted to have something that other children can love and remember her by.  I can't even begin to try to imagine how painful that must have been.  I was fortunate enough to be a small part of this project.  They will be put up in a clinic in Hiawatha for little eyes (and rear ends) to enjoy and play with!

I'll fly away

Thank you Craigslist for a massive pile of periwinkle and white windows (without frames!) Even though it was a tad on the sketchy part of town, I managed to get in, grab the windows and get out.  Here is the first creation on the "new" window panes.  I'll Fly Away ($75)

Ready for spring!
