The Friday (ooops, Monday) Five: Creative websites to visit

I know, I's Monday, but there was this little thing called CHRISTMAS this past weekend. A small  HUGE event in our house. With lots of traveling, consuming, unwrapping and smiles, I have neglected the Friday Five.  My bad.  Here you go.

AND for some etsy love.....I've discovered a slight obsession to hats    (hint hint my birthday is the 24th....I'm turning 30 *GASP*)

Double duty

Here is a baby gift for a sweet baby girl. Her bedroom colors are lavenders.
A second attempt at an earth toned guitar. Not sure how I feel about it......
My windows can double as picture frames or photo holders!

Gioca con passione

Gioca con passione (play with passion) A commissioned Christmas gift! It looks so much better close up!
This little bugger is headed to another passionate guitar player!

I love me some guitars.

Wish I could play one!

Love on a chain

A special order for a friend. Nothing better than sweet baby love.

I just want to give all of you who gave my art a wonderful new home this year, a huge thank you! I love to create and can only do it with support from fans and of course from the big guy up stairs. Local friends as well as people from far away places.  You rock.

Speaking of rocking.....I'm going to plug a local artist (and fellow musician friend) here. Here is his website and he is selling some sweet CD's. Remember to support your local arts!

Some of you may know that I play in The Eastern Iowa Brass Band and we have our Christmas concert THIS SATURDAY. You really should go. It's not your normal band concert. I promise.  We're playing with the Cedar Rapids Concert Chorale too!

Okay, I'm done for now....

(Blog envy) The Friday Five: Top creative websites and etsy pages!

Sometimes I dream of a day that I can sit in a quiet coffee house with my computer, a cappuccino and my idea notebook.  I'd browse through all of these amazingly creative blogs, get ideas, be inspired and then go my awesome studio of course.

*Then I wake up*

I'm sitting in a freezing house with ten minutes to my mis matched jammies. All is good, I'll just let you do the surfing.  Here are some creative blogs to get you started. Enjoy!

1. (a special friend, she also does windows and some amazing things!)

And for a little etsy love.....

Iowa City gig

What a blast and a success! I am very sad however, that I didn't get any good pictures of the other artists stuff! I'm not quite sure why, they were all very talented and amazing. I thought I did, but perhaps my camera ate them.  That day was a blur!! Thanks to everyone who showed up and has become a fan.  I really appreciate it!

I'm working like a crazy elf today, trying to finish Christmas orders in time to mail them to their respectful new owners!  Ho ho ho.

TOO MANY!! WINDOW SALE!!! (seriously, I have too many!)

So upon loading my car TWICE today, I realized that I most certainly had too many windows.  What a shame.  The remaining ones that don't fit in the car must find a good home soon! Here are a few that would make a great Christmas gift (prices are marked or make me an offer!)  They must go! (really, I have no room!)
($40) This one isn't brown anymore, for some strange reason the brown ink turned a pinkish color, but it still looks cool!

Goodbye and Hello!

Today I say goodbye (but a very happy goodbye) to these three fine pieces of work.  Three of my very favorites! They are going to be Christmas presents and a house warming present.  So to fill the void (really, there is no void.....seriously, windows coming out my ears) I made this guy today.....
Stationary ($75) It didn't turn out quite how I envisioned but I can live with it.  Let me know if you want it to be at a certain open house this weekend (Iowa City or Mt.Vernon!)
