I gots me some WINDOWS!!!!

Oooohhh, just look at these beauties! Six panes....four panes...NINE panes!  Waiting for some new artwork to go inside!

....and boy do I have some windows! Thanks to my wonderful parents who scored these 150 year old windows from Amana.  They came out of an old restaurant and my mom made a deal with the owner and he was glad to part with them.  The reason I'm so excited is that these windows have panes....and not many windows these days have old panes.  They are also so old that some of the glass is held in place by wooden pegs...but very securely!
So do you know what this means?  It means I can take orders!  If you have been wanting that specific piece of artwork for your house...now is the time to do it...these bad boys should go fast! Father's day?  Birthday?  A much deserved gift to yourself?

Let me know! I'd love to make something for you.

Birds gone wild

Look familiar?  I had so many people like the Free Bird piece that I tried to make one that was similar.  This is called Birds Gone Wild and it's on a large antique window.  Collage with vintage music/acrylic ($200) If you need an exact measurement just ask! The short one walked away with my tape measure so I can't find it at the moment!

Pear Gigantico....round two

So the sad news was that while attempting to wrap Pear Gigantico in bubble wrap....yes, I know..the irony.....it cracked.  I cried.  I was getting it ready for Katie who was going to pick it up in a week.  Yes, you can cry too.  SOOOOOO In a mad attempt to recreate the pear, I came up with this little diddy.  It looks fairly similar and has a lot of the same colors.  I almost like it better.  So hopefully Katie will like it too!  I will learn to be more careful when wrapping in bubble wrap!

Nest=revamped

Why yes, you have seen this one before. I just got mad and didn't like it so I revamped it.  I'm still not sure if I'm diggin on it.  It's for sale and one of the eggs says NEST on it.  ($150)
I can't remember if I put a photo of this up for not.  It is two poppies on a large storm window.  The background is a sage green color.  ($225)

This would look good in your kitchen....

...but it also looks pretty sweet in mine!!

I keep rotating the art on my old cabinet in the kitchen because it sells or I get bored...but most likely because I get bored :)  I did this one last week and it looks sweet in my kitchen with the school bus yellow walls.

Happy walls.

Bright and happy walls.

I just wanted to show you what they look like in, "real life" as oppossed to leaning up against the piano or the chain link fence for their photo shoot.

Here is a ginormous window that someone gave me during Chalk the Walk.  I actually accumulated quite a few windows from the exposure during that event.  It is SOOOOOO heavy and has two panes of glass.  I'm thinking it could never be hung on a wall....or the wall would come down.  It is mighty large too.  I'm not sure what I should do on it....

Got any ideas?

Return of the crazy daisy

I LOVE this window.  It has a perfect crackle finish.

Purple daisy.  Acrylic/paint pen/vintage music collage on antique window (SOLD...okay, it was a mother's day gift :)

It's amazing what you can get done when your kids play in the sandbox for hours.  Did I mention how much I love sandboxes (but secretly hate sand!!) Here is work numero dos for this week.

P.S I'm looking for SMALL windows.  I love the big ones, but I need to do a few smaller ones.  Barn windows work amazingly well.  So if you know of anyone renovating the barn...er, uh or house....let me know!

On a Whim

On a Whim.  Paper/collage/paint pen/acrylic on old window.  ($200)
(Those are trees....in case you are confused! :)

Here it is! Wingin It by Keri and Diane

Here is our little table all set up and ready for business!

Thanks to everyone who stopped by and for everyone who bought some artwork and fabric! We had a blast (will be applying sunscreen next year!) and hope to do it again next year. I also scored some more windows and hope to have some new stuff out soon!

Chalking the Walk

No photos yet! The masterpiece is still in process. If you have time and are local, you should check out Chalk the Walk in Mount Vernon. Tomorrow most of the chalk drawings will be finished.

Oh yes, most of my artwork will be there too so you can see it up close and personal! Diane has some sweet stuff for sale too! Come visit us tomorrow.
